Having ancestral roots in Springfield, Vermont, I am partial to scenes of autumn in the Green Mountain State. In fact, it is hard to beat the New England countryside for fall vacations and sight-seeing.
This past week, however, I received photographs from a friend depicting Butchart Gardens in British Columbia, Canada. Breath-taking does not do justice to these gardens. With a noticeable emphasis on Japanese-style gardening, and foliage colors reminiscent of Alice in Wonderland, Butchart Gardens is a must-see on any fall vacation to the area. Here are the photos which I received and which I hope you enjoy, along with a Google map showing the location of Butchart Gardens in relationship to Victoria, British Columbia’s capital.
